Role Summary:
This role is pivotal in delivering globally accessible and distributed infrastructure services. You will be working alongside a team of Support Engineers located in Melbourne and London to support and maintain IT services globally, in collaboration with external vendors and service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal performance, resilience, and reliability of the technology stack.
- Maintain patching, updates, and sequencing to minimise downtime and risk.
- Manage and resolve IT issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
- Liaise with external managed service providers, software vendors, and hardware providers.
- Provide Level 2 or SME systems support and training to users.
- Support change activities, including providing test environments and performing deployments.
- Transition project works into the production environment and monitor performance.
- Comply with policies and delegations relevant to IT operations.
- Run and enhance the IT & Vendor Change Approval Board (CAB) process.
- Act as a reviewer and implementer of IT changes presented at the weekly CAB meeting.
Requirements:
- Multiple years demonstrated experience in IT Support Engineer positions
- Microsoft (e.g., MCSE), Cisco (ideally CCNA), ITIL, VMware, Citrix.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Server 2016-2022, Exchange 2019/Exchange Online - Hybrid.
- Proficiency in SQL Server 2014-2019 Database Admin/DBO, Citrix Netscaler and XenApp.
- Networking expertise (Cisco/Palo Alto – LAN & WAN performance/Uptime).
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Azure SSO.
- Familiarity with VMWare ESX 7.0 and ServiceNow or alternative ITSM.
- Experience with VPN Remote Access solutions and delivery of globally distributed services.
