About the role:
In this role you will provide specialist IR/HR advice to the business unit managers to enhance business delivery capability through the effective use of workforce resources.
- Provide advice and support to senior managers and local leaders on complex case management matters, particularly discipline processes, employee grievances, medical management and performance management.
- Provide advice and support on resourcing and complex workforce management issues and develop appropriate solutions in consultation with senior managers and local leaders.
- Advise on and support the implementation of strategies to enhance leadership, technical expertise and business management capability within the workforce.
- Provide internal coaching to managers to develop their people skills and accountabilities.
- Advise and support senior managers and local leaders in the development of strategic workforce planning for inclusion in Business Plans.
- Provide specialist support to the implementation of appropriate business initiatives to ensure alignment of capability and achievement of the business outcomes of strategic plans local business plans.
- Provide input into the review process used to measure progress in business performance, and workforce planning, against relevant business plans.
About the individual:
- Government ER/IR case management experience, required.
- Experience working on complex cases and providing advice in a government setting, required.
- Experience working independently and providing recommendations.
- Demonstrates a high-level understanding of Human Resource disciplines and applies knowledge of policies, procedures and instruction instruments independently.
