The Opportunity
Seeking a highly organised and analytical Inventory Manager to join a leading company in the industrial manufacturing sector. This role is crucial in overseeing and optimising inventory processes to ensure the smooth running of our operations and the efficiency of supply chain disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage efficient systems for tracking and controlling inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained accurately and effectively.
- Analyse inventory data regularly, monitoring key performance indicators and identifying trends, gaps, or areas where improvements can be made.
- Collaborate with a team of inventory professionals, ensuring performance targets are met and contribute to the achievement of department goals.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods and timely order fulfillment.
- Continually assess and refine inventory processes to increase accuracy, lower costs, and streamline overall operations.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to optimise stock levels, manage lead times, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory status, stock movements, and key performance metrics to inform senior management decisions.
- Ensure all inventory activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
Selection Criteria
- A relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a similar field.
- Proven experience in inventory management, particularly within an industrial mining or manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and insights from complex data.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding a team and collaborating effectively with other departments.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (SAP, ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
