An exciting and rewarding opportunity is now available for highly motivated Internal Sales Representatives. This position will play a key role in establishing the first point of contact between prospective clients and our client in targeted markets.
The Inside Sales Representatives will actively participate in developing new accounts, generating quotes, and building strong customer relationships to help retain our customers and grow the business. Reporting into the Sales Director, this position will be based out of the Adelaide national office with flexibility to work 2 days from home per week once settled in the role.
Role & Responsibilities
... - Researching potential new clients and identifying key contacts and sourcing new business.
- Conducting follow-up calls on existing customers to understand their needs and ensuring their expectations are being exceeded. Cross-selling and/or up-selling when appropriate.
- Reviewing multiple bid tracking sites for upcoming job tenders and submit quotes to qualified bidders.
- Maintaining accurate records of interactions with clients in the sales database (CRM) and providing weekly reporting as outlined by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Ensuring both internal and external customers are kept up to date with new & current products, services and pricing, freight quotes and estimated delivery times.
- Updating presentations with relevant information.
- Supporting marketing efforts and attending trade shows as required.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills – written, verbal, and listening.
- Self-motivated and driven personality but also able to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude with clients and employees.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills in programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints and/or technical documents would be an asset.
- 1 -3 years of previous sales or order desk experience in an industrial setting.
- Completion of a post-secondary program with a focus on engineering or business would be considered a strong asset.
