Randstad Defence is currently partnering with one of Australia’s leading defence organisations to secure exceptional talent for one of South Australia’s key projects in maritime construction. We are seeking multiple experienced engineering professionals who specialise in developing infrastructure functional requirements and undertaking assurance for a maritime construction facility.
... The role will be focused on a specific area and technical capability of the project related to either fabrication, machining, outfitting, blast and paint, and commissioning, maritime facilities or specialist services. The role will also undertake design and construction assurance to verify the Infrastructure Functional Requirements have translated into the design, construction and commissioning of the facility.
As Infrastructure Engineer/Specialist you will:
- Work in a complex environment with multiple internal/external stakeholders
- Work within constraints related to cost, schedule and capability
- Be required to develop the IFR including:
- Technical drawings
- Written requirements
- Technical data across a variety of disciplines (civil,structural,architectural and industrial services)
- Undertake documentation and configuration management of the IFR including design reviews and assurance and reporting against compliance of delivery
About You:
- Must be an Australian citizen to be able to hold and maintain and Australian NV1 Security Clearance
- Tertiary qualification in engineering or related technical discipline
- Significant experience delivering technical projects in industrial, manufacturing or construction industries
- Experience in the Defence ship building industry will be advantageous
- Experience in project managing infrastructure design and construction works
- Proven experience working with WHS&E legislation, regulations, Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
- Experience with Defence Industry manuals and guidelines will be highly regarded
