The information Architect develops, maintains and supports the adoption and usage of the Department's information management and architecture frameworks, including solution architecture and technology design, and support improved business information access, compliance, and leveraging information to enable data-driven policy development, strategic planning and operational decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop the Agency’s information management strategy and information architecture design to improve information discovery and mature the Agency’s Records Management Program.
- Support the Agency’s Intranet Redevelopment initiative in the areas of content taxonomy management and content lifecycle management.
- Work in partnership with business stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements and develop an enterprise information model and standards to support.
- Provide advice to ICT initiatives and assist project teams to develop and maintain the logical and physical data models to ensure alignment with the enterprise information model and standards.
- Drive the Agency’s Intranet Redevelopment initiative in the areas of content taxonomy and content lifecycle management
- Lead the design and implementation of the information architecture for the SharePoint intranet, ensuring alignment with business needs and usability goals.
- Manage and enforce document version control, metadata tagging, and document lifecycle best practices within SharePoint and across other platforms.
- Provide technical leadership to development and implementation teams to ensure adherence to the defined architecture and design principles.
- Design user experiences that ensure ease of use, clear navigation, and positive adoption of solutions.
- Lead efforts to optimize the structure, navigation, and metadata frameworks for SharePoint content, ensuring ease of access and compliance
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in development of information architecture, including guiding principles, standards, and metadata, in alignment with broader business operations and strategic goals.
- Demonstrated experience in Information Architecture and Solution Architecture with a focus on SharePoint and similar collaboration platforms.
- Proven capabilities in stakeholder engagement and collaboration, particularly with senior executive and leaders and Excellent leadership, engagement, and communication skills.
- Formal qualification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g. TOGAF) or Zachman highly regarded.
