Role Overview:
As an IAM Consultant, you will provide both technical leadership and hands-on support for our client’s identity management systems. You will play a key role in the implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IAM solutions while engaging directly with the client’s team to ensure optimal deployment and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in IAM systems, analysing logs and identifying root causes for technical challenges.
- Implementation & Configuration: Lead the installation, configuration, and integration of IAM solutions, including migrating from legacy systems and automating configurations where possible.
- IAM Integration & Federation: Work with protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and more to integrate IAM solutions with existing systems and third-party services.
- Platform Management: Manage and maintain the IAM platform, ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and cloud applications.
- Client Engagement: Lead client workshops, gather requirements, and provide on-the-job training to internal client teams.
Solution Delivery: Act as the primary technical contact for all IAM-related projects. Ensure solutions meet client requirements and align with industry best practices, such as compliance with Essential Eight security standards. - Continuous Improvement: Perform health checks on IAM systems, identify opportunities for optimisation, and assist in modernising IAM infrastructures for better security and efficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience: Strong background in Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions, particularly in solution implementation, configuration, and support.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with IAM platforms, including expertise in modules like WebSeal, Access Control, and Federation.
- Solid understanding of IAM protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, JWT, and PKI.
- Experience with JavaScript, and optionally Python and Lua, for customisation and automation.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitLab and automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
- Proficiency in LDAP, SQL, JSON, XML, and integrating IAM systems with backend databases and cloud services.
- Client-Facing Experience: Ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and manage client relationships. Experience in knowledge transfer, training, and providing go-live support.
- Security Best Practices: Understanding of IT security principles, including an ability to apply the Essential Eight security controls and RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) in IAM solutions.
