The Domain Architect (ICT Workplace Services) is responsible for designing, governing, and evolving all aspects of the technology architecture supporting the workplace environment. This includes collaboration tools, end-user devices, productivity software, and associated infrastructure. Through close partnership with business stakeholders and technical teams, the Domain Architect ensures that the workplace services strategy and solutions are modern, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with broader enterprise architecture principles. By developing clear roadmaps, driving standardisation, and championing user-centric design, the Domain Architect helps create a scalable and agile workplace environment that optimally supports business operations and employee productivity
Key Skills Required:
- Deep knowledge of end-user computing environments (e.g., Windows, macOS, mobile platforms).
- Hands-on experience with productivity and collaboration suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace) and supporting infrastructure.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and best practices.
- Proven ability to design and govern architectural solutions that support workplace services (e.g., endpoint management, collaboration tools, unified communications).
Experience designing or implementing cloud-based workplace solutions (e.g., Desktop-as-a-Service, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Endpoint Manager).
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Citrix) and associated infrastructure.
