Role Overview:
As a Hydraulic Engineer in our consultancy, you will be responsible for designing and managing hydraulic systems across a variety of building services projects. You will work on cutting-edge commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, ensuring the systems you design are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with all relevant Australian standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Design hydraulic systems for building projects, including water supply, stormwater drainage, fire protection, and sewage systems.
- Produce detailed design documentation using Revit, ensuring models are fully coordinated with other building systems.
- Leverage Bluebeam for project collaboration, markup, and document management.
- Use Hyena for hydraulic system modeling, performance analysis, and optimization.
- Conduct site assessments and provide recommendations for the design and installation of hydraulic systems.
- Work closely with architects, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers to integrate hydraulic systems into the overall building design.
- Support senior engineers with technical calculations, reports, and specifications.
- Review and verify design compliance with building codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project delivery and meet project timelines.
Key Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in hydraulic engineering, with a focus on building services projects.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad,Bluebeam, and Hyena software.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems design and relevant Australian building standards.
- Experience working on building services projects, including commercial, residential, and retail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- A degree in an Engineering Field, or a related experience.
