Randstad Recruitment is proud to partner with a Tier 1 Industry Leader in Commercial Construction and Development who is actively completing work on a major commercial development in the Brisbane region, and are searching for experienced HSEQ Professionals in consideration for the role of HSEQ Site Manager OR Senior HSEQ Advisor.
In this role, you would be responsible for overseeing the HSEQ operations of major projects, managing and directing other members of the HSEQ team, maintaining the overall upkeep of health, safety, and environmental compliances, provide industry expert advice, as well as, develop, redevelop, and deliver comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety programs, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees by maintaining strict alignment with current QLD WHS Legislation and maintaining a productive site working towards projection completion.
Duties:
- Provide legislative and regulatory guidance on all issues pertaining to health, safety, environment, and quality, to uphold compliance with current QLD WHS legislation
- Oversee day-to-day on site safety processes and interact/communicate with other stakeholders and delegates as required
- Oversee other members of the HSEQ team to ensure a safe conduct across sites throughout the duration of construction
- Ensure safety systems and softwares across the business are implemented properly, and delegates are utilising them efficiently to maintain system compliance
- Provide industry expert advice on WHS objectives and strategies to project teams and implement changes if and when required
- Provide training and development guidance to on-site teams
- Promote and champion a strong safety culture within the workplace to improve HSEQ outcomes
- Complete regular on-site inspections, manage risk assessments, and auditing to ensure a safe working environment and reduce potential risks
- Investigate WHS incidents and implement appropriate actions to ensure non-recurrence
Certification & Experience:
- 10 - 15+ Years of demonstrated experience in the construction sector
- Prior experience in commercial project completion with values exceeding $750M
- Prior experience in a Senior or Management role operating at a similar capacity
- Strong understanding of current QLD WHS Legislation
- Vocational or Tertiary qualification in WHS
- Ability to work across Hammertech Safety Software
- General Construction Induction “White Card”
- Open Driver’s License
- Full Working Rights within Australia
