HR Advisor - Government Role (Temporary) - Gold Coast
We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join a government department on a 4-month temporary contract, with the possibility of extension. This role involves providing HR support in areas such as performance management, recruitment, policy compliance, and employee relations. The position offers full-time hours with an attractive hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice on performance management and discipline processes, supporting stakeholders with guidance and documentation.
- Participate in recruitment activities, including panel membership, pre-employment screening, and on-boarding.
- Conduct research and analysis of HR policies, legislation, and directives, offering practical solutions and recommendations.
- Develop and deliver presentations on HR initiatives and updates to leadership and staff.
- Produce HR documentation such as business cases, recruitment ads, role descriptions, and statistical reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment.
About You:
- Experience providing HR services and advice within an operational environment.
- A qualification in Human Resources or Business Management is highly regarded.
- Previous experience in the Queensland government sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, awards, and government EBAs.
- Must be based in Queensland and able to pass a criminal history check.
