About the Role
Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this key leadership position oversees catering, housekeeping, and laundry services, ensuring our residents receive exceptional care and service in their daily living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Catering Management: Plan, prepare, and deliver a variety of nutritious meals, ensuring compliance with health regulations and dietary requirements.
- Housekeeping & Laundry Oversight: Manage operations to provide efficient, high-quality services aligned with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Leadership: Coach, mentor, and inspire a large team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Menu Development: Create and coordinate recipes tailored to residents’ needs in an aged care environment.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain strong knowledge of OHS, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
About You
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- Relevant qualifications and proven experience as a Chef or Cook.
- Hands-on culinary skills with a focus on large-scale meal preparation.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and coaching teams in a busy environment.
- Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and coordination.
- Working knowledge of OHS and food safety regulations.
- cooking also as part of the role on top of supervision duties
- Prior experience managing housekeeping and laundry services.
