New senior leadership role to deliver strategic category strategy
Our client is seeking a seasoned senior leader to join them as a General Manager - Procurement, reporting to the CFO. This is a rare opportunity for the QLD market, where you will have oversight of a large and varied corporate spend, and assist in establishing new category teams.

Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a high standard of procurement and contracts management across a diverse portfolio, including, ICT, services, fleet, governance and risk
- Implementing and maintaining a cohesive workplace culture, fostering and supporting your extended team to deliver commercial outcomes while growing their career
- Anticipating and mitigating supply chain risk, securing continuity of supply across your extended supply chain
- Leading key commercial negotiations and ensuring true partnership is achieved with your suppliers
- Providing a high level of stakeholder engagement with internal customers, and demonstrating superior relationship management and influencing skills with external parties
- Performing as a valued member of the senior management leadership team, delivering holistic outcomes across the organisation
Key requirements include:
- An in depth level of financial services procurement from any industry such as banking, finance, insurance or similar, and a broad exposure to APRA reporting requirements
- Demonstrated prior leadership of a large team in procurement and supply chain; ability to provide prior examples of succession planning, improved retention and maintaining a cohesive culture
- Tertiary qualifications in supply chain or commerce, and CIPS qualifications or similar industry equivalent
- You will be an outcome focused professional, passionate about delivering a high quality of service to the wider business and excellence in contemporary procurement and supply chain practices
- You will be a self reflective leader, with a growth mindset for yourself and your team
