Full Stack Developer (React/Node.js) – 6-Month Contract
We're hiring experienced Full Stack Developers for a 6-month contract role based in Melbourne. This position will be a hybrid role (most likely onsite 1-2 days per week) and focuses on building out product features that elevate the customer experience. This will be a daily rate contract and it is likely to extend.
About the Role
As part of our client's growth strategy, they are scaling up their engineering team. You'll be responsible for:
Actively participating in design discussions with cross-functional teams.
Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver functional and user-friendly features.
Iterating on feedback to continuously improve usability and performance.
Reducing bugs in production and enhancing code quality.
Improving turnaround time on code reviews.
Tech Stack
You’ll be working across a modern, cloud-based stack that includes:
React (Web – not React Native) for the front end
Node.js with Express for the back end
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for cloud infrastructure
Firebase for authentication, database, and hosting services
What You’ll Bring
Extensive experience delivering end-to-end web solutions.
Strong hands-on experience with React (web) development.
Solid back-end development experience using Node.js and Express.
Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly GCP.
Experience working with Firebase services.
Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities.
Experience working on complex, scalable systems.
