The purpose of the TROC team is to quickly predict, prevent, and respond to Operational Technology events, with a team of approximately 100 members. This role is part of the TROC 24x7 team and reports to the Lead Respond Operational Performance TROC.
The position involves working on a Lifestyle Roster, which includes a mix of day and night shifts with a block of days off at the end of each swing. Employees on this roster enjoy two full weekends off every four weeks, with the following shift rotation: 2D2N5X, 2D3N4X, 3D2N5X. Shifts are 12.5 hours long, including handovers, and employees benefit from additional shift allowances as part of their remuneration package. Additionally, those on the Lifestyle Roster receive an extra week of annual leave each year.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing Level 2 support for Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and Mining Systems.
- Proactively monitoring and managing events to maintain critical technology availability.
- Quickly delivering break-fix solutions to restore production system availability after outages.
- Ensuring the safe execution of planned work.
- Engaging with site operation stakeholders during events, incidents, and changes.
- Collaborating within a Network Operations Centre (NOC) environment.
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities:
- Self-motivation and effective communication skills, with experience in technology, operations, or maintenance.
- Operational experience in industrial or mining environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse cross-functional stakeholders.
- A team-oriented and results-driven approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Additional skills and qualifications include:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (or other ITSM systems) and SAP.
- Experience in troubleshooting and supporting applications and servers, including, but not limited to:
- FMS Modular (Dispatch & Provision, Komatsu Frontrunner)
- FMS MineStar (Command, Fleet & Terrain)
- Surface Manager (Autonomous Drilling)
- Surface Automation Machine Server (SAMS – Autonomous Drilling)
- Driver Safety Systems (DSS)
- Collision Avoidance System (CAS)
