About the Role :
As a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in keeping their fleet running smoothly and safely - working closely with fleet operations, ensuring that repairs and maintenance align with company policies and industry standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a major logistics company that services leading Australian retailers, health-care providers, government, and defence sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule fleet maintenance and repairs with external providers and on-site workshops
- Prioritise repairs based on safety, operational needs, and urgency
- Raise purchase orders for externally undertaken work
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with operational sites and service providers
- Provide technical advice and ensure all compliance requirements are met, including accurate documentation
- Analysis of completed service documents - making sure all required works, parts and resources are accurately recorded
- Following up with the service team and providers regarding any discrepancies in resources or costings on completed service documents
- Negotiation
- Issue resolution
About You:
✅ A mechanical trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or similar (essential)
✅ Experience in fleet maintenance - ideally with prime movers, trucks, trailers, and LNG equipment
✅ Strong computer skills, including Excel and Word. SAP experience is highly regarded
✅ Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure
✅ The ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals and engineering drawings (highly advantageous)
✅ Issue resolution experience in a similar role
✅ Advanced people skills - able to easily tailor approach and delivery quickly and effectively to people and circumstances
✅ Adapt with ease to changes in work load, priority and pressure
✅ Demonstrated experience streamlining operations, processes, resource management etc
✅ Proven ability to keep across multiple elements and conflicting demands, working with deadlines
✅ Proactive, self motivated, highly organised
