We are currently seeking two team members to join our organization:
Horticulture and Gardening Role: In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining gardens and landscapes, including tasks such as planting, pruning, and general horticultural care. You'll ensure the health and aesthetic quality of plant life while following sustainable practices.
Bushfire Mitigation Role: This role focuses on reducing fire risks through vegetation management. Duties include cutting shrubs, pruning trees, and operating remote mowers to clear vegetation and create firebreaks. You’ll work to ensure areas are well-maintained to minimize fire hazards and enhance community safety.
What You'll Need To Succeed:
Along with a proven background in either Horticulture you will have:
... - Weed control and brush cutting experience
- Strong plant identification skills
- Able to use all relevant tools and equipment required for garden and tree maintenance
- Landscaping experience desired
- Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative and self motivation
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Fit and healthy
- Demonstrated behaviour consistent with the corporate values
- You will hold Safety First as a high priority and have a very strong work ethic
Licences and Qualifications (preferred but not required)
- Certificate III in Horticulture/Arboriculture
- Chainsaw Licence
- Work Zone Traffic Management Ticket
- MR Licence
- EWP
- Conservation Ecosystem Management
