Your new role
As a Financial Hardship Specialist you will focus on managing the day-to-day complex matters including quality assurance and external stakeholder SLA’s.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct robust hindsight review of member accounts and credit profile on lending exposure as and when directed.
- Identify potential risks related to legal and recovery matters.
- Ability to discuss complex and sensitive information with customers which have been referred by the FAARM team or internal stakeholders.
- Must have a detailed level understanding of Credit Assessment and Analysis of financials in order to conduct a hindsight review of customer exposure.
- Quality assurance review to ensure all collections activities adhere to applicable legislative requirements and the Bank’s policies.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on collections and recovery activities.
- Maintain accurate and current documentation on accounts and engagement activity.
- Customer first approach considering how actions and solutions may affect them.
Your skills and experience
- Ideally you a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role in a financial institution
- Strong credit assessment competency and solid understanding of responsible lending practices.
- Proven experience in legal recoveries and quality assurance within banking industry
- Sound knowledge and demonstrated understanding of current ASIC Debt Collections Guidelines, NCCP, Privacy Act, APRA APS 220, COBCOP, IDR and EDR processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of consumer lending including but not limited to home loans, line of credit, credit card,personal loan, overdraft lending and transactional savings accounts.
- You are customer focused and are dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to show empathy and build rapport.
