The Role
As a Financial Analyst you will provide commercial and financial reporting, analysis, and insights to support decision-making within a Financial Services company. You will work closely with a team, utilise your data-manipulation skills, and collaborate with stakeholders to get a deeper understanding of the business beneath the numbers.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Delivering daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports, identifying trends, and providing insights to drive business performance.
- Strategic Business Support: Assisting in the preparation of business cases, financial models, and management reports to support commercial decision-making.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Supporting planning and reforecasting processes
- Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance financial reporting, operational efficiencies, and data-driven decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering with multiple department teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Risk & Performance Management: Understanding the financial implications of key projects, initiatives, and contracts while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong analytical skills, a commercial mindset, and a collaborative approach.
Key qualifications and skills include:
- Advanced Excel skills and PowerBI experience is required
- Proficiency in database querying language, specifically SQL is highly regarded
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, business partnering, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
- A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and business optimization.
- CA/CPA qualifications (or working towards them) are highly regarded.
