About the Role
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will provide expert financial business advice and manage the effective delivery of specialist financial performance, monitoring, reporting, and analysis. Reporting to the Manager, Service Contracts and Licensing, you will:
... Provide authoritative financial advice and guidance on complex government policy in accordance with relevant financial frameworks.
Work collaboratively with executives and managers to develop financial and non-financial performance indicators, budget strategies, and reporting mechanisms.
Manage and enhance financial accounting systems, developing complex financial and workforce data models to improve budget reporting and analysis.
Deliver comprehensive budget and financial management services, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost modelling.
Contribute to financial governance, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Support workplace management and relations by providing input into training, development, and strategic planning activities.
Maintain a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to workplace health and safety policies.
What We’re Looking For
Extensive experience in financial and budget management, ideally within the public sector.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and government financial frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to analyse complex financial data and provide high-level strategic advice.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives.
Experience in developing and maintaining financial systems and data models.
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is essential.
