Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established and rapidly growing organizations, my client is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team due to remarkable growth. This is a 3 months temporary role and subject to extension/permanency based on business demand/needs. Must have prior experience within a full function Accounting role alongside payroll.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a manager who is nurturing and supportive, your main responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Management of Accounts Payable, Receivable, Bank reconciliation, petty cash and general accounting within the organization
- Manage expense invoices
- Perform payroll duties for small number of employees and payroll tax
- Processing of all manual and automated payments to employees and suppliers
- Perform FBT and BAS and ensure compliance with ATO
- Preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, Board reporting as requested/required
- Prepare Cash Flow statements and forecasting/budgeting alongside consolidation of reports
- Production of monthly P&L and balance sheet
- Control of debtors and creditors
- Production of monthly financial management pack
- Continuously identify potential areas of improvement and be proactively involved in creating solutions
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Adhere to the month end timetable to ensure timely delivery of monthly results to senior management
- Be actively involved in projects that directly affect your role and impact the Finance team
- Ad-hoc administration tasks as required
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting and basic Payroll function:
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent work experience
- 3 years or more related experience
- Experience in any XERO system is highly desirable
- Intermediate Excel knowledge
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Great verbal and written skills
- High attention to detail
