Financial Accountant
Randstad Senior Finance is working with a leading higher education institution, seeking a Financial Accountant to join their group reporting team on a 12 month fixed term maternity leave contract. The role involves providing specialised accounting services to a diverse portfolio of controlled entities, including start-ups, investment entities, and overseas campuses and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical advice and financial reporting to stakeholders, supporting decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with AASB standards and regulatory requirements across a range of financial structures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance financial capabilities and respond to management issues and opportunities.
- Support year-end accounts, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting to Boards and Committees.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to optimise financial service delivery.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Degree in business or accounting; CA/CPA accreditation preferred.
- Extensive experience in end-to-end accounting and financial reporting, including statutory financial statements.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel, Myob and SAP.
- Previous big four experience is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
