About the Opportunity
As the Finance Business Partner, you will be reporting to the CFO and General Manager, providing expert financial services and advice, driving both operational and strategic decision-making. With a strong mix of technical accounting and business partnering skills, you will work closely with key stakeholders, offering tailored financial solutions that align with the institution’s goals.
Your key deliverables will include:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting to support strategic business decisions.
- Provide expert financial advice to stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
- Develop financial strategies aligned with high-performance objectives.
- Prepare grant acquittals and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Oversee governance frameworks, risk management, and policy development.
- Collaborate with business units to improve financial capabilities and support strategic objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial systems and processes.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funding bodies and sporting organisations.
- Manage and oversee program budgets, financial reporting, and funding allocations.
Ideal Profile
- CA/CPA qualified with 7+ years of experience in a commercially focused business partnering role.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise and influence a range of stakeholders across all levels.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, financial analysis, and reporting within a complex organisation.
- Strong experience in grant management and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance.
- A passion for sport and an understanding of high-performance environments is advantageous.
