Role: Finance Business Partner

Reporting to the Budgeting and Reporting Team Leader, you will provide high-level financial expertise to produce monthly reports, provide strategic support, and manage investment portfolios to help meet organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and analyse monthly management financial reports, supporting variance analysis
- Coordinate month-end processes, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met
- Manage Council’s investment portfolio according to policy, optimising returns
- Support the development of innovative reporting methods and system enhancements
- Prepare financial reports for senior management, offering clear insights and analysis
- Serve as a key contact for departmental managers, fostering effective relationships
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- CPA or equivalent accounting qualification
- 3-5 years’ experience in financial/management accounting, ideally in a customer service-oriented role
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience in large data analysis
- Proficiency in Technology One and strong technical accounting skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
