Randstad is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee the management and operations of a key community facility based in Sunbury. In this role, you will take charge of maintaining high standards of safety, service, and operational efficiency while ensuring the smooth running of the venue.
As the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the facility's daily operations. You will lead a small team, supervise contractors, and ensure the venue is compliant with safety regulations, meeting the needs of facility users. This role is crucial in providing a safe, functional, and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring a high standard of service, safety, and functionality.
Manage the maintenance of the facility, including coordinating scheduled and emergency maintenance, and supervising contractors.
Lead and mentor a small team of staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to safety and operational guidelines.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure it is well-maintained, safe, and meets user requirements.
Ensure compliance with OH&S standards and applicable legislation, conducting regular risk assessments and safety audits.
Manage venue-related budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective operations.
Respond to customer inquiries, address complaints, and provide ongoing support to the community and users of the venue.
Maintain records and reports related to safety, maintenance, budgets, and operational activities.
Previous experience in facility or venue management with strong leadership skills.
Proven ability to manage maintenance operations, contractors, and team members.
In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations related to venue management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to challenges.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, contractors, and customers.
Experience managing budgets and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost-efficient operations.
Relevant qualification in Facility Management, Building Services, or a related field (preferred).
White Card (Construction Induction) – essential.
Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current Victorian driver’s licence.
