An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join a dynamic government organization. This role offers a chance to contribute to impactful projects and work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role
The Facilities Manager will oversee:
- Negotiating and managing state-wide work accommodation leases, including interagency agreements.
- Ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act across a diverse property portfolio.
- Managing and optimizing utilities budgets (water, electricity, and gas) to support sustainability goals.
- Providing expert advice on accommodation guidelines, lease strategies, and property compliance.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective lease and utility management.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in lease negotiations and managing state-wide accommodation portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and government accommodation guidelines.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check.
