Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals for the role of Project/Policy Officer at the APS6/EL1 level. In this dynamic position, you will contribute to the development and implementation of policies and projects that align with our organizational goals and enhance our service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Policy Development: Conduct thorough research and analysis to support the formulation of evidence-based policies. Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior management.
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate projects from conception through to implementation. This includes developing project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring outcomes are met within scope and budget.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate consultations and discussions to gather feedback and ensure stakeholder needs are considered.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all projects and policies comply with relevant legislation and organizational guidelines. Participate in governance processes to promote accountability and transparency.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a team environment, providing guidance and support to junior staff and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
- Reporting and Evaluation: Monitor project outcomes and prepare comprehensive evaluations to inform future initiatives and improve organizational performance.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in project management and policy development within the public sector or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and formulate clear, actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies that impact the role.
