We has an opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Excavator Operator with heavy rock mining and quarry experience to join our client at Sellicks Beach. This role involves working the afternoon shift, offering an attractive pay rate of $40 p/h + overtime. We are looking for operators with experience on Hitachi 1200 or similar-sized excavators. Additional experience in operating front-end loaders (FEL) and articulated dump trucks will be highly regarded.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain high standards of safety, health, and environmental practices
Complete pre-start checks on equipment
Operate the excavator efficiently and safely
Perform basic housekeeping and maintenance of equipment
Conduct plant and process inspections
Live near the Sellicks Beach area
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience operating heavy mobile Excavator, particularly a Hitachi 1200 or similar size, is essential
Background in quarrying or mining operations, including familiarity with safety management systems, is essential
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Ability to work effectively within a small team and adapt to changing tasks
SHIFT DETAILS
Ongoing temp contract with the opportunity to go permanent
Afternoon shift role
$40 per hour plus Superannuation + Overtime
