Randstad Data are currently working with one of Queensland’s largest employers to find a ERP Data Lead to join a large S/4 HANA migration. This position is for a contract until the 30th of June, 2026 with the strong opportunity to extend past this point. This position is responsible for data governance, quality, and migration activities as part of the program, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of data from the legacy system.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver strategic data outcomes that align with the business needs.
- Collaborate with the program leadership to define, plan, and execute agreed data outcomes.
- Oversee the planning and execution of data migration cycles, including mock conversions and production cutovers.
- Ensure governance processes for data activities are documented and followed, particularly for data migration, quality, and archiving.
- Provide regular updates on project data status, including risks, issues, schedules, and dependencies.
- Implement and manage data cleansing, validation, and construction processes.
- Define and track data quality metrics in alignment with the program standards and data quality strategy.
- Ensure that all data migration activities are performed with a focus on data accuracy, completeness, and quality.
- Facilitate consistency and knowledge-sharing across multiple project streams handling different data domains.
- Lead the integration of the organisations and digital technology SI partner activities (e.g., data profiling, extraction, transformation, and loading) within the project.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure coordination and alignment on data-related activities.
- Ensure data management practices and artefacts comply with relevant whole-of-government policies, regulations, and internal standards.
Necessary Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of data management practices, principles, and processes, especially in regulated or government contexts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, guide, and influence business stakeholders.
- Experience with information management frameworks, such as DAMA DMBOK, and related technologies (e.g., SAP S4 HANA, Azure).
- Proficiency in organising and managing data migration and governance tasks across complex projects.
- Familiarity with SAP S4 HANA, SuccessFactors, Azure, Jira, PowerBI.
