The Environmental Health Officer will be responsible for ensuring food safety compliance by conducting thorough audits and inspections across various food establishments throughout the Brisbane region. This includes assessing restaurants, cafes, food trucks, catering businesses, and other food service venues to ensure they adhere to local, state, and national food safety regulations.
Key duties will involve identifying potential health hazards, monitoring food handling and storage practices, checking hygiene standards. The officer will also be responsible for providing guidance and recommendations to businesses on improving their food safety practices, issuing compliance notices where necessary, and taking enforcement action when breaches are identified.
Additionally, the role may involve responding to customer complaints regarding food safety, and collaborating with other regulatory agencies to uphold public health standards. The Environmental Health Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe food environment for the community by promoting best practices and enforcing food safety legislation
