HR Partners by Randstad is excited to announce we are partnering with one of Australia’s Banks to recruit a Employee Relations (ER) Consultant to join their team in Docklands. (Hybrid working model).
This is the perfect opportunity for an ER Specialist with extensive experience in the practice of Australian Employment Law and enjoys working in a fast paced environment working on the most complex ER work in the organisation.
Please note this is a Part time (0.8) fixed term contract for 12 Months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Line Managers in managing complex misconduct processes and address matters requiring disciplinary action
- Resolve employee grievances and support the parties to resolve issues themselves
- Continuous improvement of ER processes and contribute to team initiatives
- Act as a mentor in the development of junior members in the ER team.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Knowledge of and experience managing employee misconduct, terminations, poor performance, health, harassment, bullying, unacceptable behaviour and other grievances, in addition to undertaking investigations
- Extensive experience in the practice of employment law or 4 years experience working in ER roles
- Be able to apply sound judgement to a range of complex cases and delivering practical advice
- Advanced understanding of employment, discrimination and equal opportunity laws, relationship between policies, employment contracts, awards and agreements
