The Opportunity:
Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor to join their team in North Brisbane on either a permanent or contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supervising E&I activities, with a focus on ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards, within budget, and on time. This role covers the Brisbane, Ipswich, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, and Scenic Rim council areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Maintenance Planning: Collaborate with the maintenance planner to schedule resources, plant and equipment, travel, and materials within assigned work areas.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all client, community, statutory, and organisational requirements are met across all aspects of the work.
- On-Site Supervision: Spend significant time on-site with work crews, troubleshooting issues, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Client Engagement: Regularly engage with client representatives to maintain strong, collaborative relationships.
- Safety and Risk Management: Partner with our SHEQ team to implement proactive strategies that reduce risk and ensure the safety and well-being of our teams.
- Performance Management: Ensure that work delivery aligns with contract KPIs and business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day activities of work crews, including managing site activities and completing standard administrative tasks such as time sheets, scoping documents, and safety processes.
- Contractor Management: Manage specialist service contractors, including those involved in High Voltage, Hazardous Areas, and Control Systems.
About You:
- Qualifications: A qualified Electrical trade license is essential. A Certificate III in Instrumentation is desirable, with a Certificate IV in Instrumentation required.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the water industry and High Voltage Switching Operations is highly regarded.
- Leadership and Improvement Focus: Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Organisational Skills: Proven ability to plan and execute work in a high-volume maintenance environment, with strong organisational and time management skills.
- Technical and Financial Acumen: High level of computer literacy and financial awareness, particularly in procurement and service engagement.
- Multi-Disciplinary Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across multiple disciplines.
