• Communicate with maintenance team members, supervisors and production staff on breakdowns and outstanding work;
• Liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor in regard to the purchase of parts and materials to satisfy your work requirements;
• Play an active role with inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair;
• Have or develop a level of familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC logic allowing it to be used efficiently as a diagnostic tool;
• Develop a level of familiarity with key plant equipment allowing a wide range of tasks to be performed throughout the plant with limited supervision;

• Advanced electrical trade or post-trade qualifications and experience;
• Experience in maintenance in a fast-moving food manufacturing environment;
• A thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices;
• Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures;
• Experience gained from a large heavy industrial organisation;
• Some computer skills;
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills;
• Effective problem-solving capacity;
• Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations;
