About the Role
Seeking a skilled Electrical Advisor to join the companies Construction Team on the Bungama stage 1 multi-stage project, installation of a new 150MW / 300MWh energy storage system to support energy security and reliability as renewable energy supply increases. This is a full time, 6 month DIDO site base assignment that has the potential to evolve into a permanent opportunity. The role is to advise the client and subcontractors in planning, organising and execution of electrical installations.
Responsibilities
... - Advise with technical documentation, design and installation instructions.
- Assist in material and equipment inspections.
- Advise about proper handling and storage of Company delivered materials and equipment.
- Assist client with electrical installation schedules.
- Perform the quality control and installation inspections at site.
- Ensure that electrical as-built drawings are completed and communicated.
- Participate in the electrical weekly site meetings.
- Advise and support the client in planning, organizing and execution of tests.
- Follow the HSSE policies at site.
- Advise client to use accepted test and inspection methods and proper test equipment.
- Maintain good customer relations and team spirit at site.
- Report to Site Lead Advisor at the site.
- Act as a back-up for the Site Lead Advisor.
Requirements
- Electrical Degree or Electrical trade background with supervisory experience
- Experience in a similar role and plant commissioning
- Hands on site experience renewable energy (solar), inverters, power plant, engine plant or network power
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Computer skills MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
- Ability to work in critical EPC Project and construction environments
- Good communication and people skills
- SA drivers license and own car
- Site location Bungama, South Australia 7 minutes drive from Port Pirie
- Hold working rights for Australia
