About the Opportunity
EL1 Assistant Director, Strategic Intelligence, 12-month contract with a possibility of renewal. This full-time position offers a flexible, hybrid work environment, ensuring a great work-life balance. The role is based in Geelong and some in-office time is required. Only Australian Citizens are eligible to apply.
About the Team
The Intelligence & Analytics Branch (IAB) is responsible for managing and optimising the use of all sources of data and information relevant to integrity, including analytics and reporting across those sources.
Information within scope includes intelligence products (strategic, operational and tactical), risk vulnerability registers, and data underlying the fraud case management system. The branch is also accountable for effective management of and response to tip-offs and referrals containing allegations of integrity concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality strategic intelligence outputs for the client, impacting decision-making for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead strategic intelligence projects, producing reports and insights that guide organisational and cross-government decisions.
- Collaborate with the Fraud Fusion Taskforce to develop intelligence products that offer comprehensive whole-of-government insights.
- Facilitate inter-agency communication, sharing intelligence, and preparing briefing papers and reports.
- Support team response functions, manage information requests, and prepare responses for senior management and ministerial briefings using analytical tools like Analysts Notebook and iBase.
Requirements
- Australian Citizenship
- NV1 Clearance or ability to achieve NV1 clearance
- Demonstrated experience leading intelligence team
- Strong experience with the delivery of intelligence products and services
- Excellent knowledge of Australian criminal and regulatory response frameworks
