Reporting to senior leaders in the CFO Division, you'll provide expert financial leadership for effective strategies, compliance, and reporting, bridging operational needs with financial guidance for informed decisions. As a key team leader, you'll have delegated authority to resolve complex issues and manage risks across substantial activities, leading team members and contractors with control, planning, and performance management.
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering end-of-month outputs for assigned Groups, ensuring quality outcomes and timeliness.
- Managing internal and external stakeholders, creating trusted partnerships with key business stakeholders, and assisting with planning, strategy development and risk mitigation.
- Leading the implementation of financial decisions and the budget process.
- Leading financial policy and procedure development and updates.
- Initiating and implementing innovation and improvements of existing business practice to achieve efficiency.
- Leading assigned projects and collaborating with the wider Branch/Division/Group to achieve outcomes.
- Providing leadership and mentoring and supporting your direct team.
- Undertaking complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the Finance functions.
- Exercising a considerable degree of independence to engage in complex problem-solving and issues management within the financial functions.
- Exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high-level policy advice and operational support.
- Coordinating and assuming responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on strategic or operational outcomes.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory).
- CPA/CA qualification (mandatory).
- Extensive direct finance experience performing and delivering complex financial and governance outcomes.
- Strong technical accounting and financial skills, with a proven ability to manage complex financial processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven experience in a team leadership position, including providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making (desirable)
