The Labour Hire Worker(s) will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day liaison with the Commission’s conference management service.
- Regularly review the Conference project plan to ensure all deliverables are met by both parties.
- Draft communications, including speaker invitations and promotional copy, as needed.
- Prepare correspondence, briefing packs, reports, and papers, and follow up with relevant parties to meet deadlines.
- Assist the Commission’s conference management service with registration oversight and support.
- Coordinate the production of conference materials, presentations, and other related assets.
- Monitor budgets and prepare financial reports to ensure financial requirements are met.
- Develop videographer and photographer briefs in collaboration with the Commission’s conference management service.
- Provide assistance with other events and forums as required.
- Perform other related or connected duties as directed by the Entity.
- Complete all mandatory training programs as required by the Entity, with timing and completion discussed and agreed upon with the Entity’s contact officer.
- Work during standard business hours (7 hours 30 minutes per day), with a mandatory 30-minute lunch break. If required to work on weekends, public holidays, or Entity stand-down periods, prior written approval from the Entity must be obtained.
Essential Requirements:
The following skills and qualifications are essential:
- Proven experience in conference and event management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated contract management experience, including financial and project reporting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in delivering communications products and activities.
- Experience in managing the development and delivery of complex communications and/or event projects.
- High attention to detail with strong proofreading and copy-editing skills (including strong grammar and spelling), with the ability to translate complex information into plain English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and resolving problems, and working collaboratively to develop solutions.
- Ability to meet deadlines while balancing competing tasks and priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a similar field, and/or a minimum of 7 years of experience in similar roles.
