The role
Our Federal Government client is undertaking a major program of work involving multiple projects spanning several current industry-leading technologies, including Salesforce as a core component. The Office of the CIO (OCIO) seeks an experienced Environments Manager to join their dynamic fast-paced team. The role requires strong hands-on capabilities along with well-developed management and stakeholder management skills.
Duties
• Assist the Director with overall team strategy and planning.
• Manage the environments team and its service delivery to support development teams, the Release program and to ensure all environments are available, secure and up to date.
• Provide delivery management and technical leadership to the environments Team.
• Develop service delivery and resource plans to ensure all Salesforce and MuleSoft environment needs are met.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce environment plans.
• Execute hands-on critical and complex Salesforce administration tasks to support releases, CI/CD and new projects and environment changes.
• Ensure standards and support processes are continually reviewed and improved.
• Seek out automation opportunities for improved management of the Salesforce landscape.
• Troubleshoot Salesforce issues and work with internal parties and external vendors to resolve them.
• Develop environment and code management plans to support Release plans to deploy projects and BAU fixes into Production.
• Manage support tickets with Salesforce & maintain platform security.
• Ensure documentation on processes, policies, and configuration is developed and maintained.
• Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected departments/users.
• Assign work activities, mentor and provide support to the environments team.
• Provide support for Salesforce projects and work with team members including Developers, Testers, Project Managers, Cyber Security, Architects and Business Analysts.
