About the Role
As the EL1 Assistant Director Strategy, you will:
- Analyse and Strategise: Use quantitative and qualitative data to inform and develop structured insights for complex projects.
- Policy Development: Create high-quality policy papers, guidance materials, and reports tailored for senior stakeholders, including Ministers, the Board, and Executive Leadership Teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating discussions and driving alignment across strategic priorities.
- Project Leadership: Manage high-complexity projects and implement change initiatives that deliver tangible outcomes.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop data models and evidence-based analyses to support strategic recommendations and decision-making.
- Collaborative Problem Solving: Work across business areas to address complex challenges, identify solutions, and align outcomes with organisational goals.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian Citizenship
- Proven ability to provide strategic analysis and actionable insights for complex projects.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including modelling in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience developing and implementing policy initiatives within legislative or regulatory frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare briefing materials and facilitate discussions for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record of engaging and influencing senior leaders and external partners.
Desirable Criteria
- Prior experience in the disability sector, public sector, or similar organisations.
- Knowledge of frameworks, policies, and operations within participant-focused initiatives.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, modelling, and visualisation.
- Tertiary qualifications in public policy, business, economics, or related fields.
- Certification or formal training in project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
