The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is responsible for the design and delivery of guidance to operationalise policy, improvements and system enhancements, to support the Agency's front line on a national scale.
The branch develops operational guidelines and internal staff guidance regarding Agency services and business systems which enables staff to make consistent decisions when working with participants. The branch also develops a range of material for participants and external stakeholders including guidelines, knowledge articles, letters, forms and factsheets.
As an integral part of the team, this role requires the ability to resolve issues and risks across a broad range of activities of substantial depth and significant detail and provides leadership support to the team and planning and coordinating of workloads.
Responsibilities include
- Ability to lead a team and be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of staff
- Initiating, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to develop collaborative guidance to support service delivery and the preparation of Guidelines, letters, documentation and knowledge articles
- Ensuring the quality of guidance material including accessibility, clear messaging and the principles of behavioural economics applied
- Raising awareness of critical issues, team capacity, scope of works and progress against key deliverables through regular management reporting
- Providing strategic advice about the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and business system requirements

- Project Management: Coordinate resource development and support Agency business areas using project management skills.
- Accessibility & Inclusivity: Promote a positive attitude towards disability, understand accessibility principles, and create Plain English resources adhering to government style guides.
