About The Role
We are seeking both a Senior Strategic Communications Officer (APS6) and an Assistant Director, Strategic Communications (EL1) to play a key role in delivering communications that support major scheme reforms. These positions require professionals who can craft compelling messaging, engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and drive communication strategies that align with broader policy and operational objectives.
The Senior Strategic Communications Officer will contribute to content development, messaging, and communication planning, while the Assistant Director will take a leadership role in driving strategy, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
For both roles, key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing strategic communication plans to support scheme reform initiatives.
Crafting clear, accessible, and inclusive messaging in line with branding and style guidelines.
Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.
Managing reputational risks by scanning the government and social landscape and proactively addressing potential issues.
Evaluating the impact of communications, identifying key learnings, and refining future strategies.
The Assistant Director, Strategic Communications will additionally:
Lead and mentor a team to drive high-quality communications outcomes.
Provide strategic oversight and advice on complex communication challenges.
Manage high-level stakeholder relationships and navigate sensitive or high-risk issues.
