The Service Guidance and Practice Branch is responsible for presenting the Agency’s policy, improvements and system enhancements in clear operational guidelines to enable all staff and stakeholders to make consistent decisions and its participants to have choice and control over their lives. The Branch develops and prepares content for clients and external stakeholders to support their guidelines, including letters, forms, factsheets and guides to what the Agency does and does not fund.
As an integral part of the team, this role requires the ability to resolve issues and risks across a broad range of activities of substantial depth and significant detail and provides leadership support to the team and planning and coordinating of workloads.
Responsibilities include:
- Ability to lead a team and be responsible for the coaching and mentoring of staff.
- Initiating, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to develop collaborative guidance to support service delivery and the preparation of Guidelines, letters, documentation and knowledge articles.
- Providing strategic advice about the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and business system requirements.
- Raising awareness of critical issues, team capacity, scope of works and progress against key deliverables through regular management reporting.
- Providing considered advice to multi-disciplinary teams and the Agency’s executive, Board, Minister and other Australian Government Departments in a timely manner.
To be considered you will demonstrate:
- Effective leadership and decision making skills and an ability to support and coach a team to develop trust, maximise knowledge and skills and ensure a commitment for successful performance outcomes
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to ensure stakeholders (internal and external) needs are met and to ensure productive relationships and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Exceptional writing skills and experience with policy development and the preparation of knowledge articles and documentation
- Candidate must be Australian Citizens
