The Role
Your role as the Centre Director will require you to manage the operations of the centre with a particular focus on their 5 key pillars: People, Quality, Growth, Safety and Financial performance. You will use your previous experience in a similar role to ensure the high standards of the centre are maintained, using your interpersonal skills to create an inclusive environment for children, families and educators.
Your key duties will include:
- Delivering high-quality care and education for children
- Maintaining appropriate workplace health and safety standards
- Participating in all aspects of the day to day running of the centre
- Fostering relationships with families and children throughout the centre
- Develop collaborative and respectful relationships with families, the community and local congregation
- Ensuring compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations
- Ensuring staff act on the organisations’ commitment to implementing the Quality Improvement Plan and working within requirements of the National Quality Standard
- Ensuring the day to day operation, financial, human resource and marketing management of the service is conducted in line with Uniting policies and procedures
- Implement the policies and procedures of the organisation

About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Early Learning as a Director
- Solid understand the National Quality Framework and ELYF
- Strong interpersonal skills (approachable, go-getter, positive attitude)
- Approved first aid qualification with asthma emergency and anaphylaxis training
- Relevant child protection clearance i.e. Working With Children Check and Child Protection training
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the National Quality Standard, current practices in early childhood programs and implementing a quality educational program
- Understanding diversity and inclusive practice
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities with intermediate Microsoft skills
