Web, Digital & Multimedia Communications Specialist (Two Roles)
We have two dynamic, interconnected roles available for passionate digital media professionals to join the Council’s communications team and make a lasting impact! These positions offer a perfect mix of creativity, strategy, and technical expertise—whether you're focused on web management, multimedia production, or social media.
Role 1: Web and Digital Communications Specialist
In this role, you'll be the backbone of the Council’s digital presence, ensuring websites and intranet content is always fresh, accessible, and aligned with organizational goals. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing Web & CMS Systems: Take charge of maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting corporate websites and intranet, ensuring they stay accurate and user-friendly. You'll work with HTML, CSS, and other digital tools to convert complex documents into engaging online content.
Multimedia Creation: Bring creativity to life by producing e-newsletters and digital forms using HTML and CSS. Support a range of multimedia content to enhance online and internal communication.
Social Media & Strategy: Develop tailored strategies for Council's social media channels, ensuring content is on-brand and performing at its best. You’ll track analytics and offer insights to refine campaigns.
Training & Support: Provide training to staff across the Council on managing digital content, and offer ongoing technical support to keep everything running smoothly.
Driving Digital Strategy: Contribute to shaping the Council’s digital strategy and keep it current with the latest tech trends and corporate standards.
Role 2: Multimedia & Digital Communications Specialist
If you're a digital creative who thrives on visual storytelling, this role is your chance to take the lead on multimedia production and drive innovative content across various platforms. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Multimedia Production: Work hands-on with video, sound, and photo creation to support both online and offline communication. You'll produce high-quality multimedia content, from shooting and editing to ensuring equipment is ready for action.
Leading Social Media Campaigns: Play a pivotal role in creating and executing Council's social media strategy. You'll write, create, and monitor content across channels, ensuring every post aligns with the Council’s goals and resonates with its audience.
Digital Communications: Manage and distribute e-newsletters and support content updates for websites, including news sites. Help during emergencies by capturing and disseminating essential content.
Contributing to Digital Strategy: Stay on top of the latest digital trends and technologies, providing insights to help shape a digital strategy that keeps the Council ahead of the game while adhering to branding and style guidelines.
