Randstad Digital is currently working with a large organisation based in Brisbane’s North to find a Data Governance Specialist to join their team for a 6-month contract, with the opportunity to extend past that point. This role requires specific hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement best practices, standards, and guiding principles for the Data Governance (DG) framework.
- Provide hands-on support to users of the Purview system, including onboarding and training.
- Collaborate with technical resources to define and deliver Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies.
- Measure and report on data quality and governance metrics, and recommend improvements.
- Lead the implementation of Purview, ensuring best practices and proper setup for the initial scope.
- Oversee user onboarding and change management activities, ensuring roles are aligned for the first round of Purview scans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage the delivery of data governance and security-related projects.
Necessary Skills:
- Purview Experience: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance tools.
- Knowledge of DAMA Principles: Strong understanding of DAMA (Data Management Association) principles and data governance frameworks.
- Interpersonal and Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience in Data Governance: Proven experience in implementing data governance processes and frameworks.
- DLP Tools: Familiarity with or experience in working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools is highly desirable.
