Customer Service Officer - Insurance
- Permanent Full Time - Located on Brisbane’s Southside
- Pay: $31.54 per hour + Super + Saturday rates

Position Overview:
Our client is looking for full-time Customer Service Officers to join their Member Engagement team. In this role, you’ll assist members with general inquiries about their policies and membership. Your focus will be on providing friendly, professional service and ensuring a positive customer experience. You’ll also help improve processes to make things easier for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use a member-focused approach when discussing products and services.
- Communicate clearly to understand and meet member needs with care and empathy.
- Provide helpful, knowledgeable support to build trust and confidence.
- Create a friendly environment where members feel comfortable sharing.
- Handle questions and complaints, escalating when needed, and keep accurate records.
- Manage policies and procedures and meet legislative and business requirements.
Desirable attributes:
- Previous customer service - call center experience is desirable.
- Proficient computer literacy and high attention to detail.
- Be open and eager to learn new systems and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate and handle challenging calls.
Minimum requirements:
- 1-2 years customer service experience
How does part time work?
- 5 days per week with 8-hour shifts
- Shifts scheduled between 6:30am and 6pm for flexibility.
- Rotating Saturday shifts, with full rosters provided in advance to avoid unexpected changes.
Training & Hybrid arrangements
- Onsite training at Eight Mile Plains from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday, for approximately 3 months, followed by transition to a rotating roster.
- Hybrid work-from-home option available, starting at 1-2 days per week, based on performance, after 3-6 months all in collaboration with your Team Leader.
