• Based in Newcastle, face to face onsite role
• Contract through to the end of the year (potential for extensions)
• $45 per hour + super
• Full time hours, 37.5 however part time can be considered (School Hours)

We are seeking a Communications / Engagement Officer to provide outstanding face-to-face engagement and customer service. This role is ideal for a people-focused professional who thrives in public-facing environments, ensuring positive experiences for visitors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist visitors, addressing enquiries with professionalism and care
• Provide accurate project information and manage community feedback
• Handle complaints and liaise with internal teams for resolution
• Plan and coordinate public engagement events
• Maintain records and contribute to reporting processes

About You:

Are you a natural people-person who loves helping others?
Do you take pride in delivering outstanding customer service?
Do you have exeperience in Communications or Engagement?

• Strong background in customer service, community engagement, or public-facing roles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage enquiries, resolve issues, and foster positive relationships
• Organised, proactive, and confident working independently
