Randstad Digital is currently on the hunt for an experienced CSOC Senior Incident Response Analyst to join one of Queensland’s largest employers for a 12-month contract, with likely extensions. This role requires a highly skilled cybersecurity professional responsible for handling complex and critical security incidents, analysing advanced threats, and mitigating risks to ensure our organisation’s digital assets remain secure. The Senior Cyber Security Incident Response Analyst is expected to combine technical expertise with strategicnthinking to safeguard our organisation’s assets.
Responsibilities:
- Advanced Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation of high-priority security incidents, leveraging deep technical expertise to contain and resolve threats efficiently.
- Threat Analysis and Intelligence: Perform in-depth analysis of malware, attack patterns, and advanced persistent threats (APTs) to identify vulnerabilities and potential attack vectors.
- Stay informed of emerging cyber threats and integrate threat intelligence into the incident response process.
- Escalation and Mentorship: Act as the escalation point for Tier 2 analysts, providing guidance and expertise during complex investigations.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to skill development across the cybersecurity operations team.
- Process and Tool Optimisation: Enhance incident response playbooks, procedures, and tools to improve the organisation’s incident detection and response capabilities.
- Forensics and Reporting: Conduct forensic analysis of compromised systems and provide detailed incident reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Necessary Skills:
- Extensive experience in cybersecurity operations, with a focus on incident response and threat analysis.
- Proficiency in security tools and platforms, including SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and forensic tools.
- Strong knowledge of malware analysis, network security, and cloud security principles.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
