We are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join a Credit Risk Operations team. In this role, you will assess credit applications, analyze customer risk, and collaborate across departments to ensure sound credit decisions are made. You'll play a key part in managing both Consumer and SMB sectors, balancing risk management with customer retention and revenue protection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review credit applications and assess the credit worthiness of new and existing customers.
• Conduct in-depth investigations into customer risk using internal and external data sources.
• Identify and refer possible fraudulent applications to Fraud Risk Operations
• Collaborate with departments such as Collections, Billing, and Customer Success to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations (e.g., Privacy Laws, Credit Act).
• Audit high-risk accounts and provide recommendations for process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of credit risk decisions to ensure proper documentation and tracking.
• Ensure agreed SLA are met for product types and sales channels
• Clarify declines or request for extra information effectively to sales channels involved
• Identify any trends within applications that might require a review in Credit Policies and Procedures
• Compliance with corporate objectives, policies, systems and procedures;

Your skills and experience

• 2+ years of experience in credit assessment within a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk reports, fraud detection, and credit management practices.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on risk assessment and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Excellent communication skills to interact with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Integrity and a commitment to ethical decision-making.
• Ability to make decisions under pressure, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and compliance.
