We are looking for a Credit Risk Analyst to join a Credit Risk Operations team. In this role, you will assess credit applications, analyze customer risk, and collaborate across departments to ensure sound credit decisions are made. You’ll play a key part in managing both Consumer and SMB sectors, balancing risk management with customer retention and revenue protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review credit applications and assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Conduct in-depth investigations into customer risk using internal and external data sources.
- Collaborate with departments such as Collections, Billing, and Customer Success to ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations (e.g., Privacy Laws, Credit Act).
- Audit high-risk accounts and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of credit risk decisions to ensure proper documentation and tracking.
Must haves:
- 2+ years of experience in credit assessment within a similar environment.
- Experience in telecommunications preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk reports, fraud detection, and credit management practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on risk assessment and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
Desirable:
- Call Centre experience and understanding of customer service operations.
